SUBUNIT: Efficient DNA binding requires dimerization with another bHLH protein. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus (Probable). TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expression restricted to the embryonic nervous system. SIMILARITY: Contains 1 bHLH (basic helix-loop-helix) domain.
